Recommended by Marilyn Tamer
Marilyn was born and raised in Shelbyville where she has lived her whole life. She attended Shelbyville schools and went on to the University of Kentucky, obtaining a Business Administration degree and then working in the banking industry for 15 years. Always having an interest in education, she decided to get her Masters’s degree in School Media Librarianship and worked as a school librarian for 15 years. Marilyn now works part-time in the children’s department, and feels grateful to be a part of a caring staff that provides such wonderful services for the people of Shelby County. Marilyn is happily married to David, with two grown children.
If you liked Big Little Lies, then try this book!
This mystery thriller lets you know early on that lovely Amanda is found dead in her home, however, there is so much more to the story than finding out who did it. The characters are engaging and the twists and turns in the plot keeps the reader guessing. It explores the secrets between the couples as well as relationships between friends and how a good marriage does not fit a certain mold. I generally like to read books that have well-developed characters and make it easy for me to slip into the story. A Good Marriage will keep you guessing until the end!
