05 Apr Bringing Story Time to Your Home

The Shelby County Public Library is bringing Story Times to your home while we are closed! Although the story times will be virtual and recorded, each will follow the same format as our regular story time. Families can join Ms. Megan, the Youth Services Librarian, as she reads stories aloud for families to watch with their children at their leisure. Each virtual story time will also feature links to songs, movement activities, and/or craft ideas to make at home. The virtual story time recording will be posted on each of our social media accounts, along with a direct link to the corresponding blog post with links to related songs, movements, and craft ideas. 

We ask parents to snap a photo of you and/or your child when you listen to a story time, or song, movement, or craft activity each week and post it online with our handle @SCPLibraryKY, along with the hashtag #SCPLfromhome. Let’s continue to grow and instill the love of reading and learning together as a community from our homes.

While we are sad that we can’t have story time at the Library, this is the next best thing! We hope everyone enjoys the first virtual story time on Tuesday, April 7th at 10:00 AM!
