Summer Safety Class: Part Two

Saturday, May 25, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM in the Carnegie Library Center parking lot


May is bicycle safety month! Join the Shelbyville Police Department for a Bicycle Safety rodeo to teach bicycle safety and skills to children for the summer! During this event, children can visit three stations to learn bicycle safety.

1. The first station will inspect the bicycle’s tires, breaks, and chains to check each are in good condition.
2. The second station will teach children how to properly wear their helmet and adjust the seat to their proper height.
3. The final station will discuss rules of bicycle safety.

After visiting each station, the child can participate in a bike rodeo to ensure they are ready to cycle safely over summer break.
