Chances are you could benefit from a little self-care and stress relief. Join Jennifer Beach, a Sound Healing Practitioner at the Library for a Sound Bath Meditation, for our first-ever Sound Bath Meditation class. Essentially, a sound bath is a meditation class that aims to guide you into a deep meditative state while you’re enveloped in ambient sound played by an instructor. Instead of guided meditation, which uses speaking to guide a person through a meditative state, sound baths use music and instruments such as gongs and bowls to provide guidance. Sound baths may seem a bit unconventional, but they can be an incredibly beneficial wellness practice. It has been found that people may benefit from the therapeutic effects of sound vibrations and frequencies. These benefits may include feeling less stressed, improved mood, less muscle tension, and some even experiencing pain relief.
