Music on the Lawn – Mason Daugherty Trio
Friday, September 16th from 6-7 PM on the front lawn
The Mason Daugherty Trio is a Cincinnati-based jazz trio including Chris Caporale on piano, Patrick Oakes on guitar, and Shelbyville native Mason Daugherty on upright bass. The group performs originals, standards, and arrangements, striving for the playfulness of the Bill Evans Trio and the unmatched swing of the Oscar Peterson Trio. Their goal is to find their place in the lineage of the great trios before us while creating an atmosphere full of energy wherever they perform.
