Author Steve Flairty will discuss his book, Kentucky Everyday Heroes: Volume Five. His series highlights Kentuckians who work for the good of their neighbors and the community without seeking–or receiving–recognition for their good deeds.
Volume five of this series includes a section about Shelbyville-native Jessica Collins and her philanthropic efforts. Collins, who founded the organization A Place to Sleep, will be at the event to autograph copies of the book and 40% of the proceeds will go to A Place to Sleep. In addition to serving as a venue for literary discussion, the evening event serves as part of A Place to Sleep’s ten-year anniversary celebration.
The Library will give away four copies of each book the night of the appropriate discussion to randomly drawn names of those preregistered.
The Library asks that attendees register online below or by calling the Library at (502) 633-3803.
